The Keio Plaza Intercontinental Hotel is one of the tallest
hotels in Tokyo. Nowadays it has reputation of a very nice place
to stay. The deluxe hotel is located in the heart of the capital
of Japan, in Shinjuku region, within walking distance from the
city's best attractions. Shinjuku is the constantly developing
urban area among the backdrops of the Imperial gardens.
The Keio Plaza Intercontinental boasts of 11 restaurants, 9
bars, 40 function rooms and about 1450 guest rooms in both traditional
Japanese-style and Western-style configuration. The guests staying
in rooms on the west side of the hotel will be able to enjoy
an excellent view of the futuristic-looking government office
buildings. The hotel includes the wooden teahouse, where the
guests are welcome to participate in the Japanese traditional
tea ceremony.
One of the outstanding features of the hotel is the Lobby
Gallery. It's a very nice place for those who value works
of art. The Gallery occupies two floors, where paintings and
objects of arts and crafts related to Japanese culture are
exhibited. In the Gallery, there are cozy couches, where the
visitors like to seat and chat, sharing their impressions.
All the works of the exposition are available for purchase.
The Gallery exhibitions change approximately every two weeks.
